WHAT IS J-HOP ?
Ojeda Penn is currently developing another project. He explores and revisits a concept originally credited to A Tribe Called Quest, combining elements of Jazz and Hip-Hop. He however, is taking it a step further and creating a new genre of music he calls, J-Hop. J-Hop is single note instrumentation and Jazz solos combined with hip-hop beats and elements. The first of these submissions for public consumption is a song called, "President Barack Obama" created during Obama's re-election campaign. His latest offering in this newly created genre is "What You Mean To Me", featuring the vocal talents of Willona Allison. Ojeda will be dropping more singles in the coming months in this style.
